I've been to Chili's a few times in The USA and didn't care for their food enough to keep coming back. After my visit to Chili's in Taipei, I can say that it is just like the USA restaurant chain; in this case that is a bad thing. The food is not horrible, they have a few pretty good dishes, but overall most of the dishes are just mediocre, and in Taipei the price of their food is not worth it. I would like everyone who is not American, especially Taiwanese, to know that this restaurant chain is not a good representation of good American food, so please don't judge our culinary skills after your visit to Chili's; America does offer a lot of delicious food. Yes, you'll find some Americans who like Chili's, otherwise they would not still be in business, but that just goes to show that there are quite a few people out there with bad taste. I'm not trying to be snobby, but just tell it like it is. Hey, we can't all be talented food critics or every John and Bob out there would have their own credible food blog.
Food I tried:
BBQ Ranch Burger: The beef pattie was devout of any real taste, leaving the burger completely bland.
Original Half Rack of Ribs: It was OK, but lacked the mouth watering taste of quality ribs.
Classic Nachos: Delicious nachos with a lot of cheese and your choice of sauce dip. However, it was completely overpriced for the serving amount.
Brownie Sundae: Completely delicious; rich brownie with quality vanilla ice cream. At least I can recommend the desserts at Chili's.

Mexican food is not popular in Taipei so the choices of this cuisine are limiting and I still haven't found a place that satisfies me like in Mexico or even back in America. Macho Taco is a pretty good substitute if you're feeling like some quintessential Mexican cuisine. I tried the Nachos, Burritos, Chimichanga, Quesadilla, Crispy Taco, and Soft Taco -- everything but the Burrito Bowl and Fish Tacos. They have soft and crispy tacos for NT$33 each with drink purchase every Tuesday.
The burritos were just OK; the ingredients are not tasty enough, their missing some essential herbs/spices, and the contents are not proportioned correctly leaving some bites being only rice. The Nachos were not that good because the cheese is not quality, only half melted, and the guacamole and sour cream sauce tasted like some kind of highly fabricated sauce; definitely not 100% natural. Doesn't even touch my homemade nachos. The chimichanga is a pretty yummy selection with a soft outside you can cut with a plastic fork and easily enjoy each gooey bite. The quesadilla was yummy, the cheese was melted and tasted much better than that on the nachos and the corn tortilla had a good texture after they had toasted it. The Soft and Crispy Tacos are both good, but I prefer the Crispy Tacos much more, as the hard shell reminds me of eating homemade nachos back home with fresh ingredients. The Soft Tacos are also great if you put hot sauce on them.

Bongos -- I Recommend ☆☆☆☆

Bongos is a low-lit, relaxed restaurant with cool art work and a down to earth decor that reminds me of a lot of the hostels that I stayed at while traveling through Australia and Southeast Asia. There is even a large section of used books that you can buy; I don't think you can swap them like in hostels, though. You will find a lot of expats here as well as local Taiwanese who are looking for something different and unique (for them).
I tried the Chicken Quesadilla, Turkey Torpedo (sandwich), Chicken Fingers, Gouda Cheese Burger, Nachos, and Poutine. I enjoyed everything. The Chicken Quesadilla came in three large pieces with a sour cream and a salsa dipping sauce on the side. It could've had a more cheesy taste to it, as the other ingredients sort of drowned it out, but the other ingredients were good and I still enjoyed it. The Chicken Fingers came with dipping sauces too, and were complete pieces of tender chicken with no bones inside; how pleasant and delicious. It is hard to get good nachos in Taipei for sure, and Bongos I can say, is one of the exceptions; great corn chips with the perfect amount of quality cheese and other toppings with three dipping sauces: sour cream, salsa, and guacamole.
The Gouda Cheese Burger had quality Gouda cheese and the beef pattie was pretty tasty. Another good burger find in Taipei. The Poutine (fries covered in melted cheese and gravy), a Canadian creation, had quality cheese and gravy, making it a proper poutine. The Turkey Torpedo could've had more honey mustard, mayo, or more sauce of any kind on it, but it did have loads of turkey deli slices which was great, and is something that you can't get at other restaurants anywhere in Taipei, it seems.
Bongos is a good place for Tex-Mex and Burgers. They have a lot of other delicious looking items that I wanted to try, but will have to wait until next time. Some of these items are: Chimichanga, Burrito, Mushroom Alfredo, Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Falafel, and the Hummus and Tziki. The latter three are very hard to find good versions of in Taipei, and by judging Bongos other menu items I tasted, I would say there is a good chance that they would be worthwhile at the least.

A cafe that has a cross between old burger cafe and Tex-Mex themes but feels more like a fast food place. The order came almost as fast as some fast food places. I tried the cheese burger (#2), salami pizza, and chicken chimichanga. The burger was OK, it lacked a certain beefy taste leaving it slightly bland and after chewing on several patches of gristle, the burger's OK-ness began to dip to not recommended. The burger comes with wedge fries that you can choose a dipping sauce for which is nice since the fries are bland. The pizza was a disaster; the crust was a barely cooked squishy, doughy tasteless sponge. The sauce was bland and the toppings were non-quality. I really don't recommend their pizza.
I heard that their quesadilla was not that great so I went with the chicken chimichanga instead. This item stopped me from giving a horrible rating to GoodDay. It had a complimenting array of ingredients and sauces that really surprised me even if it had fake pump cheese on top it. I'm not saying that it was excellent, I'm just saying that if I was in the area and felt like Mexican / Tex-Mex, I would enjoy eating it again.
For the pizza and Mexican dishes, you can order a larger or normal size for the dish. You can make any dish a combo for NT$30, adding a drink of soda pop, tea, or coffee. The soda pop has free refills. The burger and the Mexican dish came with a little mashed potato side dish with fake cheese. Even after you add salt and pepper, it still doesn't taste better than OK. They also have 12 different Mexican fiesta soft tacos for NT$85 each. If you're going to eat at GoodDay, I recommend that you try their Mexican / Tex-Mex fare and don't touch their burgers or pizza. Don't know about the three Cuban sandwiches they offer.
