FE21 department stores built their newest and best location called MegaCity in Banqiao by the Banqiao MRT and rail station. It's 13 floors include more than just boring overpriced clothes; this location has themes such as the 1940's Taiwan/China Food Republic (大食代 ) food court in the basement and a Venetian theme with street restaurants on the 9th floor. The basement and 9th floor are a cool visit. A Citysuper grocery store is also located on the basement floor. MegaCity's interior design was inspired by the exterior Japanese origami architectural concept which has a strong geometric design. It's currently the largest department store in New Taipei City and also includes a 5 screen cinema and an IMAX. Check out what's playing at an IMAX in Taiwan and buy tickets.

Kuang Cheng Vegetarian is located in the 1940's themed Food Republic food court on the basement floor. They tried to make every detail of this food court remind you of old time Taiwan/China by using bricks, clay, wood, dated lanterns, old restaurant signs, old music, dated clothes for the workers, and the museum-like items here and there that really complete the old time atmosphere. It's like Epcot Disney World.

This is Kuang Cheng Vegetarian's 3rd location. The other two locations offer more food selections, but the eel donburi (rice bowl) is only offered at this location *UPDATE: on my last visit they didn't offer it anymore.  They do a remarkably good job in reproducing fake meat, especially the chicken and eel. If you're not a fake meat vegetarian connoisseur, you can stick to their delicious tofu, noodles, and vegetable items.

*UPDATE*
On my second visit I was very disappointed to find that they don't serve the two best things they use to have: the eel rice bowl and the chicken curry. I was turned off and ate somewhere else. This could possibly bring their rating down to three stars, but since I didn't eat there again, I can't make that judgement or change. If I feel like eating their food again, I will go to one of their locations that possess a bigger selections of menu items.
