A little pasta restaurant that really surprised me. I've ate at a lot of bad Taiwanese spaghetti places in Taipei, so it was a pure delight to have found this place. They don't overcook the spaghetti and most of the sauces they offer are flavorful, unlike a lot of other pasta restaurants in Taipei that churn out batches of bland sauce. Also, you get a big proportion of spaghetti for a cheap price: around NT$120. I've ate at other pasta restaurants in Taipei that charge double or triple this amount for less of a proportion and taste worse.
You can specify what type of pasta you would like with your dish: spaghetti, pennine (a small version of penne), conchiglioni (small seashells), or cocoa tagliatelle (very slightly cocoa flavored flat, wide pasta). Spaghetti is what you get if you don't specify, and in my opinion is their best choice. I don't recommend their cocoa tagliatelle because either it's of low quality or they don't know how to cook it properly; it was too mushy on the outside and too chewy on the inside. You can ask for more sauce for free for any pasta dish. For only NT$30 more, you can get double the amount of pasta and sauce. For their gratin, you can get double the amount of cheese for NT$30 more. Out of all their sauce choices for their pasta dishes, I highly recommend ordering a pasta dish with their cream or bechamel sauce.
The locals know about this place, so it's pretty busy during peak times. I have seen a lot of bad western-style restaurants in Taipei that are popular with the locals, so it's really nice to see Taiwanese who can recognize and appreciate good western Taiwanese fusion food, and keep a restaurant popular that deserves it. Thanks to the popularity, they now have three locations at the time of this review.
Vegetarian options: They say that they have vegetarian and vegan spaghetti options. You would have to inquire to them directly because I don't know what they put in each of their sauces.
