Tandoor Indian Restaurant 坦都印度餐廳 first opened up in 1989. They were one of the first Indian restaurants in the Taipei area and are considered very reputable. Later, they opened up a second location in Tianmu. Their Zhongshan District location has a nice decor and is smaller than the Tianmu location, which closed in mid 2014. Therefore, their Zhongshan District location is their only location at the time of this review. That is where I dined.
Tandoor Indian Restaurant is one of the best Indian restaurants that I've ate at in Taipei. However, it comes at a price that is greater than some of the other best Indian restaurants in Taipei. My rating doesn't reflect the price of the food, it focuses on the taste and quality of the food. The taste and quality of most of their dishes is top notch. Although, I have had some better curry dishes elsewhere. The curry dishes were separately recognizable, not like some Indian restaurants where each curry dish tastes the same. The curry was very tasty, but not out of this world delicious; no complaints, though, except for the small amount that was given for each curry dish. Their tandoori cooked meat dishes were easily some of the best I've had in Taipei. If you don't mind the price of the bill, you will be satisfied with the food at Tandoor Indian Restaurant. They also have a buffet during lunchtime on Sundays.
Vegetarian options: It's an Indian restaurant, so of course there are a bunch of clearly marked vegetarian dishes on the menu. Take a look at the menu in the picture section below.

Take a look at Tandoor Indian Restaurant's first location which was in Tianmu and many of their dishes you can still get at their Zhongshan District location.
